All veterans of the food industry, we are cookbook author Rebecca Ffrench, Blogger / Photographer Alex Shytsman, Branding Consultant Jacqui Somen and Registered Dietitian Kayleen St. John.

Our goal is to help like-minded women in the culinary wellness field who are looking to develop or expand their brands and businesses. We are all about support, community, cultivation, creativity and fun.

Rebecca Miller Ffrench is a cookbook author, recipe developer, and events planner. She has written two cookbooks and has just published her third, Whole Protein Vegetarian (Countryman Press, 2016). An advocate for health and wellness, Rebecca focuses on making nutritious food delicious and approachable, even for kids (she teaches cooking at a NYC public middle school). She contributes to national publications, including Shape magazine. She is a graduate of NGI’s Culinary Nutrition Certificate Program and uses health-supportive principals to create satisfying plant-based meals. She now also guest teaches there. Rebecca is also the founder of The Upstate Table, a series of food-focused gatherings that highlight farmers and purveyors in the Catskill/Hudson Valley region. Kayleen St.John is the Director of Nutrition and Strategic Development at Euphebe, a Food and Wellness Company in New York City.  In addition to being a registered dietitian with a Masters Degree in Clinical Nutrition from New York University, Kayleen has a deep-rooted love for food and is passionate about demystifying nutrition science as a whole.  Prior to joining Euphebe, she was the Director of Nutrition at Natural Gourmet Institute where she instructed chefs in training on the topic of culinary nutrition. Kayleen also collaborated with Vegetarian Times magazine to develop and instruct the ‘Foundations of Plant-Based Nutrition’  online course,  which covers the fundamentals of nutrition and plant-centric cooking techniques.  She has contributed to Well + Good NYC, Mind Body Green, Yahoo Health, Men’s Health, Outside Magazine, and the Huffington Post.  Kayleen is also an avid marathon runner, rooftop gardener and wannabe yogi.

Alexandra Shytsman is a Ukrainian-born Brooklyn-raised blogger, recipe developer, food stylist and photographer. With her blog, The New Baguette, Alex aims to help new cooks overcome common barriers to cooking at home - like lack of time or fear of failure - by sharing practical healthy recipes they can execute with ease. Alex’s work has been featured on Mind Body Green, Yahoo Food, Gothamist, Refinery 29 and ediblemanhattan.com.

With over a decade of experience building healthy food brands in New York City, Los Angeles and Miami, Jacqui Somen is a veteran of the culinary wellness industry. Jacqui’s career highlights include: building a marketing program from the ground-up for a start-up beverage company, serving as the Director of Marketing & Communications and leading the 2014 rebrand at Natural Gourmet Institute and sitting on the Board of non-profit Slow Food NYC. As a consultant, Jacqui has developed successful brand and integrated marketing strategies for cookbook authors, wellness centers, media personalities, global restaurant groups and more.
