Information about Sodium Hydroxide (Lye)
Olive Oil, Coconut Oil, Palm Oils are saponificated (turns into soap) when used in conjunction with Lye. Note: All cold processed soaps are made this way, the Lye ends up dissapating during the cure time of 4 weeks and the end product results in no Lye in product.
